SCYHA's Excel program

 

Welcome to Saint Cloud Youth Hockey’s 2011-2012 Educational Incentive & Recognition Program entitled The Excel Program or E2 Program for short. This new program will operate the same as the SKATE program utilized in the past, but is not utilized by other districts or youth hockey programs. It is our own program.

Once again, our hockey organization will be recognizing our players’ outstanding academic accomplishments for this season. Qualifying players will receive a specialized t-shirt and certificate for their academic standing. This program is completely optional.  

 

Your teams’ Education Program Representative will be collecting your son or daughter’s report card for evaluation by myself & two or three other volunteers who have helped over the past years. If you wish for your son or daughter to participate, please read the information below.

 

Parent Directions:

1.       Please, only submit a copy of the most recent End-of-the-Quarter or Trimester Report Card; do not submit Mid-term Reports. They will not be accepted and may result in the skater being turned down.

2.       You do not need to “score” the cards

3.       Label the card with the following important information:

• Team Name
• Parent Name(s)
•  Family Email Address
•  Players T-shirt Size: (Youth: s,m,lg,xl); (Adult: s,m,lg,xl)

 

Qualifying Criteria:

·         Qualifiers must have a 3.0 GPA for their most recent quarter in school

·         The student cannot have any outstanding work or incomplete markings

·         Special consideration will be given to those students on 504 Plans, IEP’s, ISP plans or other special circumstances. If this applies to your son or daughter, please contact the program coordinator directly: Amy Schmitz
